The film follows a taxi driver's desperate search for a burqa-clad woman   Afghan director Barmak Akram’s latest film, Batcha Kabuli (Kabul Boy), will shortly hit cinemas across the world. The film, shot in Kabul but made with French assistance, stars Haji Gul and Afghan actress Lina. The pair play a married couple. Gul’s character, Khalid, is a Kabul taxi driver who picks up a woman and her son. When the woman leaves the boy in the back of the taxi, Khalid begins a frantic search for the burqa veiled mother.
